Crux

Neat poem.

The Lexicon

A butterfly landed in my hair
On the fifteenth

I whispered hello
to God’s only face

& I had not yet felt the wrath
nor the terrible knot
in my chest

Blue lights
and wrath
Blue lights
and fear
Red’s monotous flickers

Marking________
the birth of a cold-blooded feeling
the porcelain broken by
so many black tears

The use of sedatives to mute
an absence of booze
& the empty bottles in the trash

I can do nothing for you now
I’m sorry
I can do nothing for you now
