I am just dropping a quick note to let everyone know I have just now uploaded a new video to The Chamber’s YouTube Channel. It is an introduction to The Chamber, its origin and aims, and it provides a little background on me as well. I have perhaps made it more informative than enjoyable, but I think you will find it interesting in any case. Drop by when you can. New videos go up sporadically.
I have been refining my video-creation skills tonight and have produced three new ambience videos. One is almost 12 minutes in length; another is just over30 minutes in length; the last is about 40 minutes in length. Two, the shortest, are below. The third is still loading (a long process) as I write this.
Let me know if you spot any areas of concern. I know of a couple already in the first one (entitled “Dark City Ambience”. I hope you enjoy these at least as much as I did making them.
I have whipped up a rough video with a few tips on submitting short fiction to The Chamber and added it to the Submissions page. I am still learning the ins and outs of creating videos, so please be merciful in your critique of it. Please also note, on a personal aside, that I am often perceived by many people as rough and abrasive even when I am happy. With some practice, these videos, will become more professional and hopefully more enjoyable and more helpful to watch.
I have posted this and a few other rudimentary videos to both The Chamber’s YouTube channel and to my own YouTube channel. Check them out if you get the chance. A lot of them I do just to learn how to create videos while, at this point, only a few are for informational purposes. I hope to add more frequently as my production skills increase.

Two new videos have been added to The Chamber’s YouTube Channel. One talks about changes coming to the Channel, while the other gives tips on submitting short fiction to The Chamber. Please be merciful in critiquing these. They are first steps in a skill that I am far from mastering yet.
The Chamber has a new video on its YouTube channel: Covers 2021. This is a showcase of all The Chamber’s covers for 2021, starting in April, when the first ones were produced, and proceeding chronologically, so that the view can watch the cover’s style develop.

As a bonus today, I am posting a video I posted on YouTube on Tuesday. Let me know what you think of it.
I am experimenting with YouTube as a means to attract more readers, but I am not a filmmaker by any stretch of the imagination. Therefore I am experimenting with public domain videos, music, and inexpensive video editing software to develop short but poignant, moving films to feature on The Chamber’s YouTube channel to draw more readers. I have posted on YouTube only a few so far, most of which are experiments. The one above is the best I had made as of Tuesday. These are becoming easier the more I make of them. Soon, I hope to be able to create a a short story using public domain material. I made the one above as an experiment in emotional impact. It doesn’t have a plot per se, just a poignant je ne sait quois.
Let me know what you think of the video above and visit The Chamber’s YouTube channel and let me know what you think of those videos and how I might be able to improve.
Over the last few days, I have been experimenting with developing a YouTube presence for The Chamber. At this point, I am not much of a filmmaker. I don’t have the time, experience, or equipment to develop a professional YouTube video. Ergo, I have been experimenting with public domain, royalty-free videos I can find at Pexels.com or Pixabay.com using free video editing software at Kizoa (using the basic free membership demands that I have the Kizoa logo on my works) or the very simple stuff available using the YouTube Studio editor. Above is about the best film I have developed so far. I have a longer one of a minute and fifteen seconds in the works. As I get the hang of making these, they are becoming easier to make.
I have not yet developed an ultimate goal for these videos other than to use as basic advertising on YouTube to draw people to The Chamber website. I do have a vague idea of using the public domain material (visual and audible) and free editing software to develop some type of very short film similar to a flash fiction or even micro fiction story. For the moment, I am experimenting mostly with setting a mood to use in advertising The Chamber. Once I have a few decent ones, I may start posting them on the website to encourage people to submit their YouTube videos to the website for additional exposure.
