“dream eater” by Brian J. Alvarado

your mouth leads to
the afterlife, and your
cursed chilled body finds
solace in my shadow,
playing tag until dusk,
when the moon bonds
destinies through a
hypnotist gleam

open wide, utter
your hexes, and i
will be your friend
again, singing your
perish song, in
grotesque pursuit
of digested dreams
we had once shared
